What is ā€˜The Algorithm Wallā€™?

LinkedIn is the largest professional social media platform in the world, with a total of 1 billion-plus members as of November 2023.

Google is the largest search engine in the world, with a total of approximately 4.97 billion-plus users as of October 2024.

This means that the ideal client or customer or for your B2B or B2C business has a 99.999999999999999% chance of either being on LinkedIn, or using Googleā€¦ā€¦.which is practically 100% (if you could guessšŸ˜).

However, if your marketing content on either of those platforms isn’t crafted in such a way that it allows their algorithms to deem it good enough to be continuously pushed up for viewing, then, ultimately, it’ll either stay static or begin to get pushed down as new content begins to emerge.

Due to this, your ideal client/customer WON’T see your content and get the chance to consider your businessā€™ products or services despite BOTH of you being on the same platform.

This barrier between your businessā€™ marketing content and your ideal client/customer enforced by LinkedIn’s or Google’s algorithms is what I call ā€˜The Algorithm Wallā€™.
